As a skilled nursing resident at Miller Healthcare you have access to a comprehensive set of services designed to meet your healthcare needs. Our friendly, professional staff work with you and your medical team to develop an individualized service plan specific to your needs.
Rehabilitation
Choose to recover and quickly get back to living your life with the level of functionality you expect. Miller Rehabilitation provides short term stays with the goal of helping you reach maximum potential after an injury or illness. Miller accepts Medicare payment for qualifying short term stays, and most insurance plans. Recover in a beautiful setting with well-appointed rooms, excellent clinical care, and purposeful healing spaces.
Wound Care
Some wounds require special care to heal. At Miller Healthcare, our dedicated wound nurse, and partnership with Riverside’s Wound Center, provide the highest quality care to heal wounds quickly.
IV Therapy
For folks needing a course of IV antibiotics while at Miller Healthcare, our dedicated nursing and pharmacy team will ensure efficient and safe delivery of medication. Our dedicated pharmacy providers partner with the physician team to ensure the safest antibiotic stewardship to heal infections quickly and safely.
Onsite Clinicians
Miller Healthcare residents enjoy the best access to clinical services. Located adjacent to Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, nationally leading programs in heart care, cancer care, neurosurgery, and orthopedics are available. Riverside Medical Center’s reputation for nursing excellence has made Riverside the area's only Magnet® Recognized hospital. With many providers providing services on-site at Miller Healthcare, no resident need will be unattended. Miller also arranges transportation to physician offices and diagnostic centers, when needed.
Social Services
Miller Healthcare’s licensed social workers assist each resident to support emotional, mental, and physical needs, while facilitating access to services onsite or upon discharge. Our social workers promote an environment and routine that maximize dignity and independence to residents, strong communication with families, and enhanced well-being for all.
