Riverside is a Magnet-recognized hospital for nursing excellence and consistently receives patient safety and care excellence awards. Miller Healthcare at Riverside Senior Life is a Medicare-certified facility and has contracts with most private insurance companies.

Riverside Healthcare is a fully integrated healthcare system serving the needs of patients throughout the counties of Kankakee, Iroquois, Will, Grundy, and beyond. Riverside Healthcare is comprised of Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, Riverside Senior Life Communities, Riverside Healthcare Foundation, and Oakside Corporation. Foundation
Established in 1968, the Riverside Healthcare Foundation builds philanthropic support for Riverside Healthcare. The Foundation articulates Riverside’s mission, goals, accomplishments, and needs for the future of healthcare in our region and creates pathways for new and existing partners to engage in them. The Foundation seeks to build a robust community-wide culture of philanthropy and to find new, imaginative ways to be generous as an organization, believing that the example of generosity for one engenders generosity for all.
